Dear Friend,
While I have a strong meditation and gratitude practice in general, I have always encountered yoga as a path to quiet my mind differently and allow sometimes-otherwise-unknown epiphanies to find voice and be heard. There is something about gentle movement, holding myself in a slightly uncomfortable position, engaging in the inner dialogue about that exact moment when a pose is too much for me, that puts me into a space to receive wisdom. Deep and relevant truths often present themselves in the stillness right at the end of a yoga class. Yes, my mind is still active and thoughts are still bouncing around, but it’s as if the volume has been turned down and they have little power over me. It’s in those spaces that I find truth rushes in.
From one goddess…
